If you would like to work with me

I offer a variety of editorial and coaching services for poets; everything from the critique of a handful of poems, to a complete manuscript review. I can also edit grant proposals, personal essays, and memoir. We can work together via email, snail mail, Zoom, or if you are in the Seattle area, in-person over a cup of coffee.

I begin with a deep respect for other writers and an abiding belief that what I do best is ask questions, offer a variety of suggestions, and ultimately teach you to be a stronger reader of your own work.

Different options include:

• full length manuscript critique

• individual poem packet critiques

• sending your work out into the world (publishing)

• chapbook length manuscript critique

• support submitting work to journals

• poetry prompts for generating new work

• consultations on book marketing plans

• workshops / small groups / large groups

Consultations for EDITORIAL AND PR WORK

I am the author of five poetry collections (as well as one forthcoming book), coeditor of the anthology, The Strangest of Theatres with Ilya Kaminsky, Catherine Barnett, and Brian Turner, and also a past editor at Floating Bridge Press. In addition, I was one of the founding editors of the Turkish publication, The Human.
